“Although the society’s attention is directed mainly towards Varna and Dobrich, the situation in Debelets and Kilifarevo is very severe as well. It is a miracle that there are no human victims, but many animals have drowned. People’s possessions are damaged, says Dr. Marina Ivanova from FOUR PAWS. The area is marked by the fact that many households are keeping animals that are the livelihood of these people. The fodder is damaged as well in the flooded areas and therefore people don’t have food to feed their animals. We will provide food with the help we receive for around 700 animals during the first, most critical weeks of the flood.”

Team of FOUR PAWS was at the affected areas and with the support of the local government did inventory about the needed food for animals in order to be able to help every distressed household. First the food was delivered in Kilifarevo and then to Debelets. Also, FOUR PAWS helped the animal victims of the floods with medical treatment.
